Hypnotherapy Explained
Hypnosis is the altered state of conciousness that occurs naturally within us when we are relaxed, bored and mesmerised. The senses are usually heightened, and you will remain in control at all times.
Hypnotherapy uses this change of conciousness in order to freely communicate with the subconcious mind, bypassing the critical concious mind, in order to acheive a desired outcome.
Theraputic hypnosis should not involve anything that you feel is inappropriate. You will not do or say anything which is contrary to your beliefs, wishes or morality.
You are quite capable of bringing yourself out of trance or rejecting the suggestions - this is one reason why hypnotherapy can only be successful if you really want it to work.
Some people find it easier to go into trance than others, and most find it gets easier with practice. Despite this, most people relax easily enough to find hypnotherapy an effective way to achieve their desired outcome.
