About me
I’m an artist based in Poland taking delight in dark fantasy inkworks.
I have a Master of Arts degree specialization in Painting from Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland. In my student days I was aiming for combining hyperrealism and romanticism with traditional oil on canvas paintings and large-sized drawings. I was a finalist of several Polish nationwide and international art competitions. However, I’ve worked in the meantime as a comic artist, pursuing my dream to become a mangaka. Now, after maternity leave, I carry on my artistic path as a freelance artist, staying true to my passions and hoping to be able to create art full-time one day.
I create my artworks by hand on paper mainly with ink and fineliners, as I still enjoy making traditional detailed drawings like nothing else. I add colors to my inkworks digitally. I also like to experiment with traditional mediums like watercolor, oil paint or colored pencils.
I take inspiration from artists such as Caspar D. Friedrich, Gustave Dore, a fellow Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński, japanese traditional art and manga.
Besides art, I find meaning in family life, good food and heavy metal.
